Secure Campus Policy
Closed Campus
The Stone Corral School District maintains a “closed campus” for the safety and protection of your children. Students must stay on the school grounds from the time they arrive until dismissal at 3:00 p.m. unless they are signed out through the office by a parent or another adult listed on the emergency card. A closed campus means that students are not allowed to bring guests to school to visit, such as cousins, friends, or younger brothers or sisters. If parents are visiting, they are to check into the office before attending class. They will be given a Visitor’s Pass.
For the health and safety of the students, please have your children leave home so as to arrive at school no earlier than-7:30a.m. This will enable the supervisory staff to be prepared to receive them and prevent over exposure to severe weather conditions. Classes begin promptly at 8:00 a.m. Students who arrive late will report to the office to get a pass before being sent to class. Parents should make every effort to get their child to school on time.
Visiting The School
Parents and teachers benefit from a good working relationship that makes an_open exchange of information regarding student learning and development possible. Parents are encouraged to visit the school to discuss their children’s progress with the teacher.
Visits may be arranged by telephoning the school office (528-4455). A message will be left for the teacher to return your call. All visitors must report to the office, sign in on the visitor’s log, and obtain a visitor’s pass before going to individual.
